Observational Cruise
We carried out the following Arctic cruses as part of the International Cooperative Project, "JWACS".

Research Areas: Dutch Harbor to Bering Strait, Chukchi Sea, and Beaufort Sea

Embarkation: Mirai's homeport Mutsu (Nishino) / Barrow, Alas. (Shimada, Ito transferred from CCGS Louise S. St-Laurent)
Disembarkation: Dutch Harbor
Period: Aug.25 (Mutsu) -Sep.7 (off Barrow) - Oct.10 (Dutch Harbor)

Research Areas: Homeport of Louis S. St-Laurent, Dartmouth, NS to Baffin Bay, Beaufort Sea and Chukchi Sea

2002 ACSYS /CliC meeting was held here at JAMSTEC, and its working group and panel, NEG (Numerical Experimentation Group)
