Extended Vibration Coring System (EVCS)

Sands and gravel layers are traditionally very difficult to collect with current coring systems, because sandy layers get washed out by the drilling mud or are jammed into the core-catcher and block the core barrel. This system uses a vibration generator, powered by the drilling mud, to advance the cutting shoe via vibration into the formation.
