Science Operations on Deck: Finally running into the water finished at 22:45 on September 29. After tagging sea bed at 2192 meter below seafloor and making rig-up with core barrel, first pilot core was shot and came up on deck on 04:30. Second core ran after reassembled and loaded logging tool and inner barrel. These cores are systematically curate, cut and labeled, and made X-ray CT measurements in 1.5 m whole round cores.

Science Operations in Labs: Continued Science Seminar 6 covering Kumano Basin mud volcanoes and low resistivity sandstones studies. Lab technicians continued working in the lab area instrument setup and documentation.
