Science Operations on Deck: The Chikyu drifted to NT2-01 site and continued running drilling assembly to the seawater. Spud the Hole C0003A at 12:40. Jetting down to the 50m and then rotary drilling with 35m/hr.

Science Operations in Labs: Data analysis and interpretation was carried out in the science party for the Site C0002A. Data processing engineer made presentation and discussion on sonic data processing. Lab technicians continued setting up instruments, thermal conductivity, cryogenic magnetometer, titrator and ICP-AES.
