Science Operations on Deck: After numerous attempts to recover the remaining drill pipes, fishing assembly was pulled out of the hole and finished. Made up cement stringer and running into the borehole. Conducted 1st cementing operation.

Science Operations in Labs: Continued review on Site C0002 reports. Science seminar on Magnetization in the Nankai Trough was held and lab measurements discussion was made between Chief Project Scientists, Specialty Coordinators and Lab. officer. Scientists and lab technicians attended bi-weekly safety management system meeting. Lab technicians continued setting up instruments, close-up photo system, SQUID and titrator.
