Science Operations on Deck: ROV jumped at 09:15 on 7 November and recovered back shortly due to the sonar problem. After repairing ROV, ship moved to 2 nm upstream, and launched ROV at 17:00. Tag seabed at 2524.5 m water depth at 19:00. After having ROV hydraulic problem, stopped drilling at 20:15 and pulled out to the surface while drifting and recovering ROV. At 01:00 on 8 November, ship moved to NT1-03 location while making up MWD BHA.

Science Operations in Labs: Discussion on change of drilling plan due to pulling out of Site NT2-01G for ROV repair. Continued Review process on Site C0003 reports, and working on Site C0004 LWD data. Lab technicians continued setting up instruments and maintenance of air compressor connecting to nitrogen gas generator; training, core splitter and SQUID operation.
