High-temperature environment Core barrel

As drilling goes deeper, cores are recovered from environments with high temperature and pressure, as well as acidic formation fluids. Therefore it is necessary to develop tools for such severe circumstances.
The most difficult technological challenge is development of the core barrel to be used in 300°C at 7,000 meter below seafloor.

Objective:

Develop high temperature coring technology for sampling recovery at large depths below seafloor

1. Develop a core barrel for 150°C
2. Develop a core barrel for 300°C
