The Chikyu open ship was held at Kobe on 10-11th June 2006. It was a first time
to held Chikyu open ship at Kansai area Japan, about 7,000 people visited during
2days event. Kobe is a historical port area in Japan, they are used to seeing
many kinds of ship, were surprised to see how tall the Chikyu is, and its ambitious
mission.
In Osaka, Chikyu made a port call at Tenpozan which is bayside amusement area,
the Yamazaki family was celebrated as a 60,000th visitor through the event.
