The special exhibition "Deep Sea Research and
the World of Microfossils" - History from HMS
Challenger to the Deep-sea drilling vessel Chikyu -
will open at the National Museum of Nature
and Science, Japan from December 12th.
JAMSTEC support this exhibition to introduce
about the state-of-the-art drilling vessel Chikyu
and international scientific drilling research.

Venue: National Museum of Nature and Science, Japan
1st floor, special exhibition hall, Japan Gallery

Period: 12th December 2009 to 28th February 2010

Hours of Operation: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
(to 8:00 PM Fridays only; visitors are admitted
until 30 minutes before closing time.)

Days Closed: Every Monday (If Monday is a national
holiday, the Museum is open Monday and closed
the following Tuesday.) Year-end/New Year holiday
(December 28 to January 1)
