29 Sep. 2011: Mirai
We successfully deployed sub-surface ADCP mooring. We put PAL (Passive Acoustic Listener) sensor on it to measure precipitation as well as surface wind speed.
In addition, we released Argo float at the same point. This time, we set the parking depth to 500 m and ascent rate with once per day. This is because we want to obtain fine reolution data to know the variations of ocean surface structure according to the passage of MJO convection.
