1. Outline of the Lot

a. Location: Site from which the Kanagawa Prefecture Industries Experiment Station has moved (with an official book area of 32,909.26 square meters), 3,137, Showa-machi, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama-shi
b. Area of the premises: 19,886.7 square meters
c. Application zone: industrial area (urbanization section) (with a building-to-land ratio of 60% and a capacity ratio of 200%)
d. Height district: 7th class height district (with absolute height limited to 31 meters)

2. Outline of Building

(1) Simulator Building
a. Application: To accommodate the earth simulator, air-conditioning equipment, etc.
b. Height of building: approx. 17.3 meters (two stories above the ground)
c. Cumulative total floor area: 6,363 square meters (construction area: 3,376 square meters)
d. Construction: skeleton base-isolated construction
e. Ancillary equipment: lightning-arrestor tower

(2) Laboratory Building
a. Application: To locate researchers' quarters, earth simulator's controls, etc.
b. Height of building: approx. 15.3 meters (four stories above the ground)
c. Cumulative total floor area: 3,479 square meters (construction area: 1,164 square meters)
d. Construction: skeleton construction

(3) Power Building
a. Application: To locate refrigerators and cooling tower for the earth simulator's air-conditioning equipment
b. Height of building: approx. 14.0 meters (one story above the ground)
c. Cumulative total floor area: 525 square meters (construction area: 521 square meters)
d. Construction: reinforced concrete construction

(4) Ancillary Equipment
a. Especially high-voltage incoming power substation
