FY'06 Lecture Meeting "JAMSTEC2007"
~Science and Technology Opening the Way to Ocean-Planet Frontier~

Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (hereafter JAMSTEC; Mr. Yasuhiro Kato, President) will hold the annual lecture meeting of this fiscal year, "JAMSTEC 2007" as follows.

This event is held to introduce our activities, achievements and future plans to the general public.

This year, in the meeting titled "Science Technology opening the way to Ocean-Planet Frontier", we will introduce our various efforts "to understand the entire global system as an Ocean-Planet from the viewpoint of the ocean"; such as the national science project including the Key Technology of National Importance "Marine-Earth observation and explore system" and the enthusiastic activities of young research scientists.

We will invite Mr. Naochika Namba, the corporative advisor of Mitsubish Heavy Industries, Ltd., to give a special lecture titled "Expectations for Promotion of Marine Research and Industrial Development".

Admission fees and pre-registration are not required.
