Figure 4 : Cast the images of observation results by Doppler radar of R/V MIRAI on Satellite clouds imagery. Inside the cumulus ensemble propagating eastward, rainfall area is developing. Observed locally, it became obvious that the huge cumulus ensemble of several thousand kilometers composes of many cloud clusters whose size is about a hundred kilometer. And it can be seen that the heavy rain area and the light rain area varies about 10 kilometers interval. (Colored zone shows rainfall intensity observed by Doppler radar. Red zone indicates heavy rain.) |
