Mr. Yamane holds prominent positions, such as a temporary employee of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, an expert member of the Central Council for Education (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)), a special committee member of the Space Activities Commission (MEXT), and so on.

He will be on "SHINKAI 6500" in the middle of March at Hatoma Knoll off Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, Japan.

He picked up "SHINKAI 6500" in his still running serial article "Age of Metal-Color" on 'Weekly Post' (on September 15, 2000 issue), in which he reveals fundamental strength of Japanese Manufacturing.
