Open House of Headquarters and Yokohama Institute

The Headquarters and the Yokohama Institute of the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC: Mr. Yasuhiro Kato, President) will be open to the public as follows; to promote public's better understanding of our projects and to raise public awareness of Marine-Earth Science.

Title: "Ocean, Earth, Exciting Adventure"
Children can feel the mystery and fascination of the ocean through the quiz contest and the facility tour.

Also, the Mutsu Institute for Oceanography (Mutsu city, Aomori prefecture) and the Kochi Core Center (Nankoku city, Kochi prefecture) will be open to the public soon. More information will follow. In addition, the Global Oceanographic Data Center (Nago city, Okinawa prefecture) is open throughout the year (closed on Mondays and national holidays).
