[21st Pacific Science Congress: PSC21]

The international congress hosted by the Pacific Science Association (PSA). It has been held every 4 years following the first one in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1920. The congress aims to enhance communication between communities in pacific areas, develop science, and promote people’s prosperity and strengthen their bond.
This time, it will be held from June 12th (Tue.) to the 18th (Mon.), at the Okinawa Convention Center in Ginowan City. Many scientists from JAMSTEC will participate in. For example, Dr. Tadashi Maruyama (Program Director) and Dr. Katsunori Fujikura (Sub Leader) of Extremobiosphere Research Center (XBR) will preside over a session titled "Biology of Deep Chemosynthetic Communities" on June 14th (Thu.).
