Fig.3 Change of Arctic Sea Ice Area observed by AMSR-E(2002-2007)

OThe lines show variability of Arctic sea ice extent from 2002 to 2007. In this year, curve was similar to that of 2002-2-6 until June. But since July, sea ice extent updated its smallest everyday. On August 15, the smallest record on September 22, 2005 was renewed more than a month earlier. It is assumed that the sea ice extent continues to decrease. Then, the minimum sea ice extent would be much smaller than the previous minimum recorded low.
