The Fourth Seminar in the Series of
“Ocean and Earth Institute”
Presents “Wonders of the Deep Sea”

The Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC: Yasuhiro Kato, President) will co-host the fourth seminar of “Ocean and Earth Institute” series with the Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History.

The seminar aims to increase people’s understanding and awareness of Marine-Earth Science by introducing our activities and the world’s advanced research results in an easily comprehensible manner.

In the seminar titled “Wonders of the Deep Sea”, a pilot of research submersibles and experts in hydroacoustics, geosciences, biology and chemistry will introduce environment, life forms and chemosynthetic community in the deep sea in an understandable way.

*Please note that the lectures will be delivered only in Japanese.
