|Available Position & Research Topics||Deep-sea ecosystems Research Team opens one job opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher who is willing to carry out deep-sea biology with
molecular techniques and also basic researches on environmental impact
Scientist is requested to concurrently serve as Submarine Resources Research Project.
・ molecular biological analyses with deep-sea organisms and also sediments.
・ analyses environmental meta genomics using molecular database.
・ Data collection and follow current status of discussions in terms of anthropogenic impact on deep-sea ecosystems.
|Requirements||Applicants must have a Ph.D. in closely related field, and must be within five years since awarded Ph.D.

|Contract Period||Period of employment is from April 1st, 2012 to March 31, 2013, and the contract can be renewed twice (The total contract term is maximum three Japanese fiscal years, until March 31st 2015). Appointment date is negotiable.|
|Salary||Salary will be competitive in accordance with JAMSTEC's bylaws, by considering academic career, research ability and research role in BioGeos (annual salary system). Appointment level for positions will be determined by JAMSTEC after the interview based upon the discussion with the successful candidates.
