| Available Position & Research Topics | Giobiology Research Team, Earth and Life History Research Program, BioGeos, in JAMSTEC, is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Postdoctoral researcher fellow to conduct organic geochemical research on the oceanic sediment. The successful candidate will conduct research related to "Investigation of nitrogen cycle in the paleo-ocean" a research grant from MEXT.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will focus on and perform the following activity: 1) Conduct laboratory studies of the oceanic sediments by organic geochemical methodologies. Applicants are expected to possess strong background and experience of organic geochemistry. |

| Requirements | Applicants must have a Ph.D. in closely related field, and must be within five years since awarded Ph.D.

| Salary | Salary will be competitive in accordance with JAMSTEC's bylaws, by considering academic career, research ability and research role in BioGeos (annual salary system). Appointment level for positions will be determined by JAMSTEC after the interview based upon the discussion with the successful candidates. e.g. Annual salary: JPY5,256,000 |
