| Available Position & Research Topics | The Atmospheric Composition Research Team of EBCRP in RIGC is seeking a Scientist to engage in the following research activities: - Observational research and/or observational data analysis of atmospheric composition, including satellite-based observational data analysis, mainly over the Asian Continent and the Pacific Ocean, to better understand the spatio-temporal variations of key species and important processes, in relation to rapidly changing atmospheric/marine environment, climate, and ecosystem. Possible approaches/research theme are listed below as examples; however, new proposals are also welcomed: (a) Ground/ship-based in-situ and/or remote observations (e.g., MAX-DOAS) and/or related data analysis (b) Satellite data analysis of atmospheric composition such as ozone precursors, aerosols, and related species, long-lived greenhouse gases (c) Studies on processes accompanied by large uncertainties; e.g., those related to atmospheric oxidative capacity or behaviors of organic gases and aerosols (d) Observation-related studies to explore interactions and feedbacks between atmospheric composition and other Earth subsystems (land, ocean, ecosystems etc) Please visit our website for the details of our research program at http://www.jamstec.go.jp/rigc/e/ebcrp/index.html |
