| Available Position & Research Topics | Available Position : 1 Scientist in the Atmospheric Geochemical Cycle Research Team (AGCRT) of Environmental Biogeochemical Cycle Research Program (EBCRP), RIGC/JAMSTEC. The EBCRP is conducting observational and modeling research to understand the biogeochemical cycle and its variation in the atmosphere, land, and ocean. The goals of this program are to reveal key processs of changing ecosystems and biogeochemical cycles in marine and terrestrial environments, to understand the mechanisms of those changes from the past to the present, and to improve the performance of earth system models for future prediction. The AGCRT aims to assess the impact of variations of atmospheric composition on climate change in global scale and those specific to Asia. The major themes of research are listed below: 1) Development of global and regional chemical transport models for elucidating transport and transformation processes of chemical species using the models and observational data. 2) Development of data assimilation system for atmospheric compositions, and estimation of surface emissions of greenhouse gases and precursors of pollutants. For details of EBCRP please visit http://www.jamstec.go.jp/rigc/e/ebcrp/ . |
