- JAMSTEC-R was revamped
- The JAMSTEC Report of Research and Development (JAMSTEC-R) was revamped from the issue, No.8. We ask for your submissions.
- Main elements of the changes:
1. Three types of submissions (original papers, reports, and reviews) for easier publication of JAMSTEC's research results will be included as the proceedings.
2. JAMSTEC's original research results, such as cruise reports, will be actively collected.
3. Submissions can be either in Japanese or in English.
4. Referees will work under the Editorial Committee, aiming to upgrade the quality of the content.
5. Registration at Cinii, J-stage, and other external databases has been made for more citations.
6. Special features and serials will be included for discussion on specific themes.

1. About the JAMSTEC Report of Research and Development
JAMSTEC Research and Development is published as a report on JAMSTEC's technology and research, actively carrying articles about original technologies based on ingenuity and disseminating research results to the community.
2. Flow of submissions
The next issue, vol. 11, will be published at the end of September. The submission deadline is Friday, April 2, 2010.

Send your manuscript as a PDF file that fulfills the Rules for Writing and Submission along with an Application Form as e-mail attachments to the Editorial Committee at JAMSTEC-R@jamstec.go.jp.

The Editorial Committee will reply with an acknowledgment of receipt.
2.3
The Editorial Committee and persons recommended by the Editorial Committee will referee your manuscript.
2.4
The applicant is notified of the results of the referee process. Within one month of notification, correct or withdraw your manuscript. For a paper that has passed the referee and has been accepted, authors may be requested to provide higher-quality images for printing.
