Many industrial researchers participate in Earth Simulator collaboration projects, specified projects and collaborative research with JAMSTEC (Japan Agency of Marine-Earth Science and Technology) and external organizations, facilitating research and development of new technology for products and industry.

Also, in order to facilitate industrial use of the Earth Simulator, fee-based usage of the Earth Simulator has been in practice since FY 2005, which does not require the disclosure of research results.
