Dispersed multiphase flows containing particles/droplets/bubbles are ubiquitous in both engineering and environmental applications. These flows contain a wide range of scales, from the particle scale to energy-containing scales. This multiscale nature and related interactions are currently being studied by researchers who develop advanced computational /experimental methods for a variety of applications. This workshop invites the leading researchers in this relevant field and aims to promote discussion and collaborations.
This workshop is recommended to those who are interested in the following topics:
-- Multiphase flow, Turbulent flow, Particle-flow interaction, Cloud turbulence, Cloud microphysics, Particle collisions, Clustering, Voronoi analysis, Spray combustion, Air-liquid interface, Heat/mass exchange, DNS, LES, VOF, CIP, and so on.
