Very essential and urgent issues for us living in monsoonal Asia may
be how the hydrological cycle, including precipitation, evaporation
and land-surface hydrological processes change and vary due to anthropogenic
and other external forcings (e.g., ENSO, NAO etc). How regional and
river basin scale hydro-climate and water resources vary associated
with these large-scale forcings is also an important issue.
Based upon the comprehensive hydro-meteorological data and modeling,
we will target these issues and to provide physical basis for the
prediction of hydrological parameters on a seasonal through to interannual
time-scale.
