The FRCGC promotes many joint activities, by participating in the advisory committees of the various organizations below, offering additional posts, and joint research among the organizations (as of april 2004). In addition, we introduce organizations and academic societies related to prediction of global change research.



Meteorological Society of Japan
    This is the Society where the researchers involving ocean studies play an active part in Japan.
The Oceanographic Society of Japan (OSJ)
    This is the Society where the researchers involving ocean studies play an active part in Japan.
The Association of Japanese Geographers (AJG)
    The Association investigates and studies recent global environmental crises and natural disasters, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides and heavy rain, integrating the land and the lives of people living there, and contributes to building up programs for working out a detailed countermeasure.
Hiroshima Geographical Association
    Established in 1961 with the intention of integration on geography and geographical education, and contributing to the development and promotion of those fields.
The Japanese Society of Limnology
    The Society consists of researchers who conduct integrated research on fresh water, such as lakes, rivers, underground water, hot springs etc., using their knowledge of geophysics, geochemistry, biology, geography, environmental science and so on.
Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE)
    The Society is proud of its long-term tradition, consisting of about 35,000 members who belong to all the fields of civil engineering, universities, government organizations, and the private sector.
