NASDA facilities are open to the public during the Week of the Science and Technology Campaign in FY1999 Every year, one week from Monday through Sunday including Invention Day (April 18)is the Week of the Science and Technology Campaign.Since this year is the 40th campaign, it will be from April 12 (Mon)to April 24 (Sat). Under the catchword, "Children-scientists,use your brains and hands," various events will be held by the relevant ministries and agencies, the local governments,and respective institutes concerning science and technology throughout Japan.NASDA also plans to open its facilities to the public, so please visit and see the facilities. These include: SHINKAI 6500 and 2000,submersible research vessels; NATSUSHIMA, a supporting mother ship; computer systems; and experimental devices for deep-sea microorganisms.
