Research Information

Period and Interval
2013/04/01 - 2014/03/31
two to three times per year for each of total ca 10 intertidal flats
Research Area
Sendai Bay / Matsushima Bay
Category
Field survey
Overview
Species diversity monitoring by census and quadrat methods for analyzing annual changes of fauna after the 2011 tsunami. Quantitative and qualitative samplings with genetic analysis for some of major macrobenthic animals/populations to examine the dispersal abilities of these organisms among intertidal areas and ecological functions of environmental filtering limiting the distributions.
