Overview
This study aims the innovation of novel aquaculture systems for salmonid fish. First, we investigate the effects of green light on the somatic growth and metabolism of rainbow trout. Second, we examine the possible increase of sea-water adaptability of rainbow trout using a rearing tank with white background color.

Investigation Item and Data Acquisition

Investigation ItemData Acquisition
The effects of green light on growthBody weight, fork length, expression levels of metabolism-related hormones
The effects of green light on metabolismLiver weight, serum glucose concentrations, serum free fatty acid concentrations, expression levels of metabolism-related hormones
The effects of white background on sea-water adaptabilitysurvival rates, serum salt concentrations, morphology of gill, expression levels of osmoregulation-related hormones in sea water
