Results and Future PlanWater environment:
In Okirai Bay, no large differences were found in pH, COD, DO, DO% saturation, TN and transparency between pre- and post-disaster periods.
In Ofunato Bay, the decreases in nutrients and the increase in chlorophyll a concentration were observed after the disaster.
Zooplankton:
In Okirai Bay, the jellyfish Cladonema pacificum increased explosively.
