Overview
We collect benthic organisms at rocky habitats in Otsuchi Bay by SCUBA diving; the goal is to document the diversity and the changes of post-tsunami benthic fauna in the bay.

Results and Future Plan
About 300 specimens of invertebrates were collected from the rocky habitats. In the algal habitats, more than 5000 specimens of invertebrates were collected; 4900 specimens of them were epiphytic animals such as small gastropods and amphipods. There were no remarkable differences in the species composition between the inner- and outer-side of the broken seawall.
