Overview
This team aims to determine the situation of ecosystem based on the spatial data set including occurrence record of marine organisms and environment conditions. GIS tool, ArcMarine geodatabase, is applied for the data management, and we analysis the data to assess the tsunami impact in Tohoku neritic zone and deep sea. The various data, not only on geography, oceanography, biology, but also tsunami-debris are collecting intensively, from the direct field surveys conducted by TEAMS, data archives of the institutes, and the contribution from other research programs. This year we estimated distribution of brittle star communities.

Results and Future Plan
As a result of the prediction of brittle star distribution before the earthquake, surface productivity, temperature and geography was important explanatory variable.
