Overview
1. Spatiotemporal changes of fauna and flora in the permanent quadrats (1) At the three intertidal rocky shore sites in Onagawa Bay, the heights at the locations of permanent quadrats in high, middle and low zones will be measured. (2) In the period of low tide of the spring tide, photos in each permanent quadrat will be taken. Coverage of sessile animals and algae will be measured and compared among quadrats. (3) Community structures among tidal levels and among study sites will be compared. Temporal changes at each tidal level also will be monitored. 2. Examination of the fauna and flora of intertidal rocky shores in Onagawa Bay (1) In the period of low tide of the spring tide, animals and algae will be collected at the three intertidal rocky shores sites in Onagawa Bay. (2) Collected samples will be identified down to species as far as possible. (3) Species list of animals and algae will be uploaded in the BORAS database and recorded in the list of fauna and flora of Onagawa Bay.
