The data telemetry of JKEO2 is as same as of the
m-TRITON. Data from the JKEO2 mooring
were telemetered in near-real-time via Service Argos utilizing the NOAA
polar-orbiting satellites. The buoy data were processed on daily base at
JAMSTEC, where calibration coefficients and quality controls are applied. In
addition, an Emergency Argos Positioning System transmitted position of the mooring for 5
hours after 0000 UTC every day. The
JKEO2 mooring transmitted hourly mean values as well as spot values of Argos
position that were fixed opportunistically. Real-time
updates of hourly data were provided to the JKEO people via e-mail on a daily
basis. Complete high temporal resolution data (every 10-minute) will be
available in delayed mode from the data page of this web site. Delayed
mode Oceanic Data will be provided to the Japan Oceanographic Data Center in
Tokyo. Last updated on December 26, 2008 |
