Note for Phase 3:
On November 12, 2008, IORGC/JAMSTEC deployed the third surface buoy JKEO3 at JKEO site (38-04.71' N, 146-25.14' E) during the R/V Mirai MR08-E02 cruise. The design of JKEO3 buoy is a little modified from JKEO2 buoy for avoiding the damage by fishing activities. Trouble in data transmitting system was found in the early morning of November 13, and the top buoy was recovered on deck and re-deployed on November 15 after repair the system. JKEO3 buoy was recovered on 28 August, 2009. The daily average and hourly meteorological and oceanic data retrieved from recovered JKEO3 buoy system are publicly available in this web page. Daily noon and Spot values of high resolution buoy location fixed opportunistically by ARGOS are also available in this web page.

1) On December 13-19, 2008, the sea surface air temperature and relative humidity data were wrong values.
2) From December 27, 2008, the sea surface air temperature and relative humidity data have been wrong values.
3) The meteorological data has been provided to institutions for weather forecast and re-analysis numerical model calculation through GTS since March 27, 2009 (WMO Buoy No. 21210).
4) On May 21-24, and after August 24, 2009, the wind data were wrong value.
5) JKEO3 has been recovered on 28 August 2009 on board of R/V Kaiyo during her cruise KY09-07.
