The JKEO5 sampling is almost
same with JKEO2, JKEO3 and JKEO4 based on the m-TRITON of which prototype is
TRITON moorings in the tropical Pacific.
JKEO5
measures winds, sea surface air temperature, relative humidity, barometric
pressure, precipitation, wave height, pCO2, sea surface
temperature and salinity (SST and SSS), short wave and long wave radiation,
subsurface temperatures and salinity, and water currents.
All
data collected from the JKEO5 mooring except wave height and pCO2
are publicly available. Hourly surface and subsurface data from the JKEO5
mooring are transmitted in near real-time. In addition, spot values of Argos
position data are transmitted opportunistically. Daily averaged surface and
subsurface data from the JKEO5 mooring and higher resolution data recorded
onboard the mooring will be made available in the data page in this web site in
delay mode after their recovery.
The
table below describes the sampling schemes for the JKEO5 moorings.
Observation times in data files are assigned to the center of the averaging
interval unless otherwise noted. For example, daily averages are computed
starting at 0000 UTC and are assigned an observation "time stamp"
of 1200 UTC.
