The OceanSITES format NetCDF files in this directory contain data from the JAMSTEC Kuroshio Extension Observatory (JKEO) moorings located at 38N,146.5E in the northern side of Kuroshio Extension current.

 

If you use JKEO1 data in publications or presentations, please acknowledge both of the RIGC/JAMSTEC and PMEL/NOAA. Also, we would appreciate receiving two copies of preprint and/or reprint of publications utilizing the data for inclusion in our bibliography.

 

If you use the data only later than JKEO2 in publications or presentations, please acknowledge only the RIGC/JAMSTEC. Also, we would appreciate receiving one copy of preprint and/or reprint of publications utilizing the data for inclusion in our bibliography.

Please note that this is a slack line mooring, and so the depths of subsurface sensors must be computed from the observed and calculated pressures, which are contained in the data file.
