JAMSTEC Intellectual Property Information

JAMSTEC has created various new technologies as part of its marine and earth-related research and development. JAMSTEC manages the intellectual property of these technologies and is engaged in a broad range of activities to deliver their benefits to society. JAMSTEC publishes its basic policy for this work in the form of its “Basic Idea on Intellectual Property.” On this site, we will outline how JAMSTEC handles its intellectual properties including patents.

Out of the new technologies registered as patents, we select those that we believe will be particularly beneficial to society and post them in the “JAMSTEC Seeds Catalog” (Japanese website only). We hope that you will use this information when searching for themes such as joint future research or creating products or services.

* For information on other patents, please use a search service such as J-PlatPat.
