JAMSETC has developed the manned and unmanned submersible to study the deep-sea area efficiency and comprehensively. We own the manned submersible gSHINKAI 6500h, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) gKAIKO 7000h and gHyperdolphin h, which can be operated at depths up to 7,000 m and 3,000 m, respectively, and towing deep-sea research system gJAMSTEC / Deep Towh. Additionally, We are conducting the sea trials of a cable-free autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) gURASHIMAh for real research cruise.
