Marine Science School

The Marine Science Camp course of 3 days and 2 nights has been provided for students and teachers in senior high schools and professional schools in summer vacation every year since 1996. This course has provided participants not only with the information of the most advanced marine researches through the lectures and training given by scientists and engineers engaged in marine R&D efforts, but also with the opportunity of attractive experience in making marine researches.
Participants' Comments:

Mr. I (in the prefecture of Ehime): I enjoyed the 3-day course. I enjoyed also my first experiences of taking meals and sleeping on a vessel and taking a tour of the big vessel. It was very interesting for me to observe marine organisms by operating a ROV and a robot.

Miss T (in Tokyo): I like the biology. I enjoyed the practical training, and I was quite surprised at everything during my first diving. I had new discoveries when I experienced an unusual environment at 4 bars. I was much surprised and impressed when I saw tennis balls and pet bottles deformed and felt me touching the air.
