Bythograeid crabs collected from the Nikko Seamount (430m), the Kaikata Seamount (500m) and the Suiyo Seamount (1400m), eastem edge of the Philippine sea Plate, are also kept in seawater tanks. Breeding has been continued for more than 3 years.
