Pre-Cruise Training for Expedition 324 was held at KCC

Pre-cruise training for some of the participants of the IODP Expedition 324 of the " JOIDES Resolution " was held at the Kochi Core Center for two days, June 16th & 17th in 2009.

14 researchers from various universities and museum in Japan participated in this training. They had lectures and demonstrations about how to operate various instruments required for onboard measurement of cores, learned the core observation/description techniques and conducted a strategic meeting.
