
Students and instructors from Kochi Enokuchi School for children with health impairments visited Kochi Core Center.
Students and instructors, total 53 people, from the Kochi Enokuchi School for children with health impairments visited the Kochi Core Center on July 13th, 2009.
After they watched a video about the drilling of seafloor and cores, they had a brief tour to the reefer and -20℃ freezer, where the actual cores are stored. Also they visited the very-low temperature (-160℃) sample storage facility, and conducted experiment to freeze some green leaves instantly in liquid nitrogen.
