Professor Robin J Batterham, president and director of the ATSE, visited Kochi Core Center.

Prof. Robin J Batterham, president and director of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering ( ATSE), visited Kochi Core Center on October 2 and had a look at the core repository and analytical facilities.

He kindly provided us useful advice and suggestions during the visit and enjoyed it very much.

Prof. Batterham also discussed with Dr. Fumio Inagaki, group leader of the Geomicrobiology Group a the KCC, about future scientific development and international collaborations, in particular, regarding the potential storage of carbon dioxide ( CO2) in the geological subsurface environments.
