KOCHI/JAMSTEC "Frontiers in Life & Earth Planetary Sciences"
The international workshop on the Leading-edge Research Base will be held on 15th February 2012 at Kochi Core Center (KCC), where the new research facilities will be introduced. In the workshop, prominent scientists from earth, planetary and life sciences will appear, and the valiant discussions will be expected, such as the interdisciplinary research between earth and life sciences through future scientific drilling using Deep Sea Drilling Vessel “CHIKYU”, understanding of the environment for natural resources under the seafloor, the innovative research strategy for the sustainable carbon and energy circulation, and the new research approaches revealing the origin and the evolution of life and Earth expand to those of extraterrestrial planets.
