Analysis software tools for the wide-angle seismic data

Analysis software tools for the wide-angle seismic data

We have developed several analysis software tools for the wide-angle seismic data analysis. Through this web page, we make our two software tools, "PASTEUP" and "MODELING", available to the geophysical community as open source softwares under the GNU General Public License (V2)

Fujie et al., (2008) briefly describes features of these softwares, and in publications, please refer to this paper.

When you download these softwares, please let me know by e-mail, if possible. I'd like to know where these softwares are used, and any feedback is welcome.

PASTEUP

PASTEUP is an interactive application that facilitates the plotting of record sections, analysis of wide-angle seismic data, and picking of phases. PASTEUP is equipped with various filters and analysis functions to enhance signal-to-noise ratio and to help phase identification.

This software is written in C and Tcl/Tk and using several extension packages of Tcl/Tk and GD library. For details, see the document in the package.

MODELING

MODELING is an interactive velocity model editor and ray-tracer. In practice, MODELING is not equipped with ray-tracing functions, but can communicate with external ray-tracing applications. The supported external ray-tracing applications are the shooting method, the grid-based method and the layer-based graph method.

This software is written in Tcl/Tk and using several extension packages. For details, see the document in the package.
