Among all of the seabed equipment of the Long-term Deep Sea Floor Observatory, the cable-end station is located at the very front. The cable-end station is of a structure where the following (1) and (2) are fixed to a single frame:
(1) independent observation equipment for individual measurement of
"current speed", "stratification current speed",
"salinity concentration", "underground temperature",
and "underwater low-cycle sound wave", and
(2) a "transmission part" which converts into a light signal (a)
transmission of "seabed surface observation data"
and measurement data of various observation equipment and (b)
transmission of television image signals. In particular,
with the following observation equipment, measurement
values may be treated as displayable, as-is data.
