"Geobio-Engineering and Technology Group" addresses some important societal issues on sustainable carbon and energy cycles through the advanced research of deep subseafloor biosphere. For example, the geological sequestration of CO2 in marine subsurface systems and its ecological consequences, and the exploration of deep-sea mud-volcano subsurface as a natural pipeline of deep-sourced fluid and hydrocarbons.
