About Project

The Extremobiosphere Research Center seeks out contacts with corporations through the Deep-Sea Bioforum, provides proposals for experimental and joint research based on corporate needs and accepts researchers from the private sector for research projects. In addition, depending on corporate needs, it also is prepared to provide research facilities alone. It supports private sector research and development through this program by providing the results of research conducted by the Center as well as organism resources, genomes and other organism data. In order to support the needs of the private sector, in particular, it strives to realize ongoing development including the establishment of a genome bank of useful enzymes of new microorganisms as well as deep-sea microorganisms and the utilization of genome data analysis software.
